• “WILLIAM SmTH, attorney; was born near Dover, Canada, May 1, 1841, while his parents, natives and citizens of Now York, were temporarily sojourning there; came to Rock Co. in September, 1841; educated at Milton College; admitted to the bar in 1865; commenced practice in Janesville the same year ; came to this city in April, 1864. He was for two years Justice of the Peace, and four years Police Justice.”
