Henry Palmer was born in New Hartford, N. Y. One passage gives no day or place beyond New York state.

• “One of the most distinguished and successful physicians and surgeons of Wisconsin ; is a native of New Hartford, Oneida Co., N. Y., where he was born July 30, 1827. His father, Ephraim Palmer, who, at this writing, is living at Edgerton, in this State, was a farmer, and from early boyhood until he reached the age of 19, Henry worked on the farm with unceasing industry, the only relaxation being his attendance at the district school in the winter season.”

• “Henry Palmer, a native of New Hartford, N. Y., was born July 30, 1827, to Ephraim and Abigail (Brown) Palmer, both natives of New York. In 1856 the family moved to Wisconsin and settled on a farm at Edgerton, in Rock county, where the father passed the remainder of his life.”
