• “I will mention one thing which has taken place in this country. In September, 1850, in Avon, Livingston county, New York, a gentleman made an affidavit that a short horned Durham cow, imported thither, produced twenty Ibs, of butter per week, for eight weeks. And for myself, gentlemen, I have no doubt of the truth of that affidavit.”
