• “The lands of the Fort Winnebago reservation were set apart by order of the president, February 9, 1835, and consisted of the following teriitory; sections two, three, and that part of four lying east of Fox river, and fractional section nine, all in township twelve, north of range nine east, also fractional section thirty-three, in township thirteen, north of range nine east, lying west of Fox river, and the fraction of section four, township twelve north, of range nine east, lying west of claim numbered twenty-one of A. Grignon, and adjacent to Fort Winnebago, reserved by order of the president, July 29, 1851. the whole amounting to about four thousand acres.”
