• “The first death in Milton was that of Jane Bowers, daughter of Andrew and Hannah Bowers. She died September 14, 1838, of quick consumption, iiged fourteen years eleven months and twenty-five days. Her funeral was held September 15, 1838, at the house of S. D.”
