A Rochester resident went to England to visit his home in 1836 and the same year returned to America, landing at Quebec.

• “Hagstaff, Nov. 16, 1831, and landed in New York Dec. 27, 1831 ; remained in vicinity of New York, New Jersey and Hoboken, till May, 1832, when he moved to Poughkeepsie and from there to Rochester, N. Y.; from here he went to England to visit his home in 1836 ; same year, returned to America, landing in Quebec, Canada; he lived in different parts of the country till 1844, when he returned to Rochester, N. Y.; moved from there to Shortsville, Ontario Co., N.”
