• “Johan Arndt Bergh, who was born at Kristiania Stift, Norway, on January 12, 1847, is the son of Ole A. and Cecil (Johanson) Bergh, both natives of Norway, where the mother died in 1853. The father, a clergyman, came to the United States in 1860 and settled in Minnesota, and in 1868 took charge of a church at Kasson, that state.”
