“Y., in 1810 ; came to Wisconsin in 1842, locating at Shopiere, where he remained two years, and then moved to La Prairie, and purchased a farm of 240 acres, his present homestead. Married, in 1833, Miss J. Youst, a native of New York, who died March 15, 1858, at La Prairie; they had eight children — Dorcas, born Oct. 18, 1834;”
