• “Having been chosen one of the justices of the peace of the town of Hudson (now Lyons), he at once opened an office there and commenced the practice of the law, but in a very small way. It gradually became lucrative, however, and in the year 1847, he married Adelia C, daughter of the late Dr. E.”
