• “From Muskego as headquarters, Clausen visited the different Norwegian settlements in southern Wisconsin. In the winter of 1844, Clausen came for the first time to Rock county. On February 4, 1844, he preached at the house of Erik G. Skavlem, and on February 5, at the house of Thore Helgeson, town of Clinton.”
