• “Beloit; bora in Sussex, England, in 1825 ; came to Chicago in 1851 ; remained there till 1872, then came to Beloit and occupied the land he purchased in 1864, 180 acres in Sections 23, 26, with stone residence, barns, and all improved. He married,^ in England, in 1849, Martha Heaton, of England ; they have one child — E. Emily, living at home ; his' residence is delightfully located on the west bank of Rock River.”
