• “Thomas Barlass, a representative citizen of Bradford township, Eock county, Wisconsin, is a native of Kinrosshire, Scotland, was born January 6, 1825, and is one of four children, three of whom are living and reside in Eock county, born to David Barlass, a farmer, who died in Scotland, and Mary, nee Marshall. The mother came to this country in 1844 and made her home with Andrew Barlass, her eldest son, who came hither in 1843. She lived to be seventy-five years of age and died in Harmony township.”
