• “After an experience of nearly thirty years, his confidence in the wisdom of this change remains unshaken. As a means of more fully preparing himself for this practice, he attended a course of lectures in the winter of 1849-50, at Philadelphia, and graduated in March, 1850, at the Homoeopathic Medical College of Pennsylvania. The Doctor has been a member of the American Institute of Homoeopathy most of the time since 1857, and contributed valuable articles to medical journals ; he has performed several capital operations, among them being amputations at the hip joint and shoulder joint.”
