• “Y., Sept. 17, 1818, and came to Wisconsin in May, 1862, locating at Beloit; from New Hartford he moved to Hamilton, Madison Co., N. Y. and thence to Saratoga Springs, and, at the age of 15, he entered the Madison University, where he graduated in 1841, and was ordained as Pastor of the Baptist Church in Galway, N. Y.. where he remained four years; then moved to Hartford, Washington Co., N.”
