At the commissioners' session, Rock County was divided into two road districts by an east-west line. (Another passage dates this division to the commissioners' second meeting, June 28, 1839 — see June below.)

• “Janes, Judges. At the second annual session of the Commissioners, April 2, 1839, Rock County was divided into two road districts, by a line running east and west about the middle of the county. An election was held May 28, 1888, at the precincts established by the Supervisors as above, for " Path masters," which resulted in the choice of Lucius G.”
