The remaining county officials were chosen and qualified (in 1839 and the following year), perfecting the county organization; the first commissioners held office from 1839 to 1841.

• “F.- Janes whereby the county obtained title to the land designated in the act of December 27, 1837, as the seat of justice. In 1839 and the following year, all other county officials required by law to be elected, were chosen and qualified. With the entrance of these officers upon the discharge of their duties, the organization of the county was perfected.”
