• “Express agent, Edgerton ; native of New York ; born in Chatham, Columbia Co., June 22, 1827 ; son of Thomas I. and Sarah (Clark) Son; they had three sons — John J., James and H. C; the latter came to Wisconsin in the fall of 1845, and settled in Albion, Dane Co.; bought land on Sec. 36. John J. still owns the farm.”
