The evidence

• “Y., in 1818 ; he came to Wisconsin in 1855, and located in Center ; was engaged in agricultural pursuits until 1860, when he went into the mercaqtile business. In 1859, he was elected Town Superintendent, and served two terms ; was chairman of the Town Board of Supervisors for two terms; was Justice of the Peace for four years; School Clerk in his district for six years ; was appointed Postmaster of Footville in 1875, which position he still holds.”
