• “FOOTVILLE, a village of about three hundred inhabitants, on the line of the Chicago & North- Western Railway, is essentially a railroad town,, having derived all its former importance from the fact that for a period of about six years it was the terminus of the road. It was first located, however, in June, 1845, by Mr. E.”
