“WILLIAM S. SQUIRE, of the firm of Squire & Munger, dry goods and groceries, Emerald Grove; born in Rock Co., Wis., Jan. 1, 1840, where he received his early education; in 1869, he moved to Michigan and engaged in the lumbering business for two years ; he then returned to Fulton and farmed for two years ; from there he moved to Martinville, where he opened a store and continued for two years and six months ; was also Postmaster ; Jan. 25, 1875, formed partnership with A.”
