November 12, 1840
Articles of faith and a constitution were adopted and the church was organized; the 1879 history of Milton says the Seventh-Day Baptist Church of Milton was organized in 1840 with about forty members, while the 1879 and 1908 accounts of the November 12 organization state sixty members.

“Seventh-Bay Baptists. — This sect, which has now a large representation in the village of Milton, held their first meeting, for the purpose of organizing a society, at the house of Mr. Henry Crandall, on November 6, 1840, and, on November 12, articles of faith and a constitution were adopted. There were then sixty members, who, for a long time, worshiped in the house of Mr.”

Articles of faith and a constitution were later adopted and the church was organized November 12, 1840. There were then sixty members, who worshiped in the private houses of Joseph Goodrich and Henry Crandall, and still later in the academy, until 1852, when a church was erected at a cost of $3,000 upon lots donated by Joseph Goodrich.”
