• “Eliza Andrews Wood was born in Lowell, Mass., in 1825. She journeyed with an emigrant train to Wisconsin in 1841. Mr. Royal Wood came first to Janesville, and drove to Chicago to meet his promised bride. There they were married, April 4, 1841.”
