• “Arba F. Townsend, whose life has been spent in Eock county, Wisconsin, was born in Magnolia township on May 31, 1853, the fourth of ten children born to Hosea and Harriet (Eoyer) Townsend. The father, a native of Vermont, was born in 1810 and followed farming all his life.”
