• “Y., Oct. 28, 1822 ; son of Daniel Bird, whose ancestors lived in Connecticut and took an active part in the Revolutionary war. The family came West to Michigan in fall of 1837 ; in 1849, Mr. Amos Bird moved to La Grange, Walworth Co.; was there till 1867, then moved to Clinton Co., and settled on a fine farm of 100 acres ; he has all improvements, a fine residence, and is in good circumstances. Married, in spring of 1849, Maria Strong, New York ; have had eight children. Mrs.”
