Congress provided for laying off town lots at Fort Madison and Burlington in Des Moines County, Belleview, Du Buque, and Peru in Du Buque County, and Mineral Point in Iowa County, all then in the Territory of Wisconsin, with lots to be surveyed and offered at public sale.
