  • “CHARLES HAMBITZER, dealer in pianos, organs, sheet music and musical merchandise, Allen's Block, School street ; was born on the 24th of April, 1855, in Milwaukee. From Milwaukee he removed to Chicago, where he went to school, and shortly after went back to Milwaukee and studied music; from Milwaukee ^o Green Bay, where he also studied music, and from Green Bay came to Beloit about the middle of November, 1876, and for two years was engaged in teaching vocal and instrumental music with good success.”
