A banking association was formed (under the name McCrea, Bell & Co.), later organized as the Badger State Bank.

• “Dimock. The association was formed in 1850, but it was not regularly organized until 1853, when it was incorporated under the State banking laws by the above-mentioped gentlemen as the Badger State Bank. The capital stock was $50,000.”
