• “Henry Pentland, who is now retired from active business and resides at 524 Broad street, Beloit, Wis., was born in County Down, Ireland, on September 11, 1833. His parents were William and Agnes (Clark ) Pentland, who in 1843 came to Wisconsin and settled on a farm in Geneva township, Walworth county, where they lived until their death, the father at the age of sixtytwo years and the mother at fifty-six years of age.”
