• “Clinton; born in Norway Sept. 12, 1812 ; the family came to Clinton, September, 1839 ; there were no fences nor roads then. In 1841, settled on 60 acres, and now, through industry and creditable frugality, have 360 acres, mostly under good cultivation.”
