• “Whitewater, Walworth Co., Wis., and Lima Center ; born in County Derry, Ireland, in 1807 ; son of William McMillin. He resolved to try his fortune in America, and landed at New York \tl 1847 ; came to Rock County the same year and settled on the farm he now owns, of 160 acres. Married Hannah, daughter of William Steel, of his native county, 1846.”
