• “Milton ; born in Genesee Co., near Attica, N. Y., in March. 1827 ; he is a. son of Chauncy and Polly Osborn ; his father was born in New York in 1798 ; when quite young he commenced farming; in 1812, he enlisted in the Revolutionary war; served one year and a half as a drummer-boy ; part of the time on picket ; he was then only 14 years of age ; mustered out in 1814 returned to his home and reengaged at farming. Married in New York in 1816 ; his wife was born in 1798 they had twelve children ; eight are living — Leonard, William, Mary, P.”
