• “Christian K. Newhouse, who has passed his whole life as a farmer in Rock county, Wisconsin, was born on a farm in Clinton township, where he now resides, on June 12, 1849. He is the second of a family of four children, three of whom are now (1907) living, born to Kittill and Kari (Natesta) Newhouse, both natives of Norway.”
