The Janesville dam was considered finished by Hanchett Brothers (in the early part of the year).

• “The building of this dam would destroy the Dolsen dam, so they entered into a new contract with Hanehett Brothers, who were interested in the Dolsen dam, to build a Janesville dam. It was not finished by them until 1845.”
