A. L. Chapin was installed as President of Beloit College and entered upon the discharge of his duties.
The evidence
“This nomination proved acceptable to the trustees, and in duo order Mr. Chapin was installed President in Feb., 1850, and has continued in that office, discharging additional duties as Professor of History and Ciyil Polity, and preacher in the college chapel, with great ability and to general acceptance.”
