A settler came to live upon land he bought in Plymouth Township in 1836.

The evidence

• “(then called Greene Co.), 111. ; still working at his trade. In 1836, he visited Wisconsin, and bought 321^ acres of land in what is now Plymouth Township, and, in 1844, came to live upon it; it was all wild land, but he has cultivated and improved it throughout. He built the fourth log house in that section of the township.”
