The picture

A grassy riverbank with a wooden boat landing: a short dock runs out into the river with a dog walking on it; a man stands on the bow of a large launch moored at left, in which several passengers sit; rowboats are pulled up along the shore. On the lawn two men in dark suits and hats stand looking at the water, one with a child in white; at right under big trees a group of women in white dresses, one with a red parasol, stand by the water. The far shore is a low line of trees.
