Reading version
The message joined into sentences, the spelling lightly modernized only where it helps; uncertain words keep their marks.
Dear brother, Oct. 19, 190[…]. Your Pa and Ma arrived here alright but they had to walk from th[e] car line because they did not let us know that they were coming by "freight." We expected they would driv[e][…] Nellie Jury[?], [illegible] Beloit, Wis., Bo[?] [illegible]

Uncertain readings:
- address, last line: H Clra E. Pulse (or c/o Ira E. Pulse, Clara E. Pulse, Ora E. Pulse) — the first mark is a small detached H-like sign, perhaps a care-of mark, and the given name is a looped capital followed by 'ra'
- message, signature: Nellie Jury (or Nellie Jury (surname partly hidden)) — the surname is overwritten by the 'Beloit' of the line below
- message, last line: [illegible] Beloit Wis. Bo[?] [illegible] (or … Beloit Wis. Box …) — the line sits on the card's left edge and its start and end are cut off; the first characters look like '2x0 0'
- message, date: Oct. 19, 190[…] — the year's last digit is at the edge; it looks like 8 but is partly cut
- front, publisher imprint number: 4830 (or 4839) — the last figure is small and blurred; it could be a 0 or a 9
Reader's note: The message mentions the 'car line', the streetcar or interurban line: the parents arrived and walked from it. It says nothing about Yost Park itself. Message lines run off the bottom edge of the card, so line ends are lost.
